How do I serve at Rugged Faith?
Rugged Faith is made up of many different types of servants and volunteers. We all have different gifts, strengths, and abilities, and believe the body works best when all the pieces are represented and valued. We believe everyone has something to offer at Rugged Faith and as long as that something is from God it will be useful to change people's lives. We have a one page volunteer application to be filled out so we can become better acquainted with applicants and their gifts and abilities the Lord has given.
When does Rugged Faith need help? Rugged Faith is a year round ministry and has different courses available throughout the year for all the seasons, but our busiest time is Summer! Some outings are season specific, but if you are flexible, there will always be something available.
Do I need special training or equipment to serve? If you have some training, "Great!" and if you need some, "Great!" "The Lord will equip the saints to do the work He has called you to do."(Hebrews 13:21) Again we want to extend to you this opportunity to come join us, to serve God in the awesome creation He has made for us. Our hope is that you who serve would be blessed as those who receive your sacrifice of time and energy are blessed.
How old do I need to be, to serve with Rugged Faith? There are jobs for everyone and anyone who wants to serve with Jesus. Do we always get to pick the jobs we do? No. But He always has the tasks we are designed to for Him. God made each of us special and with gifts and talents to build the body of Christ. See 1 Corinthians 12:12-30 We require persons to be at least 16 years of age to be able to belay others. Lead Guides are required to be at least 19 years of age and meet all Rugged Faith guidelines to serve in this capacity.
